This is an interactive lecture where we explore two of the fundamental issues of human life: identity and relationships \u2013 and how they are inextricably intertwined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We examine identity in depth: what it is, whether it is something single and unchanging, where it comes from and what shapes it, what sustains it or changes it \u2013 and what effect it has on our lives and well-being. We also look at communication: how we communicate with ourselves and with others, what influences our communication style, and whether we listen to listen and understand \u2013 or merely to respond. We explore different communication styles and what they mean in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingibj\u00f6rg is a clinical social worker and the founder and owner of Hugrekkis, counselling and education, and has worked in the field of social work and education for more than two decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingibj\u00f6rg has extensive experience in counselling, group work and education \u2013 particularly in the areas of trauma, violence and human relationships. She has worked as a part-time lecturer at the University of Akureyri, participated in international projects and published academic articles in peer-reviewed journals.
