Tomorrow, Thursday, the fourth seminar of the North-East Knowledge Network will take place, where research and projects carried out in the region will be presented. The topics for tomorrow's seminar are extremely varied.
\nSigurlaug Dagsd\u00f3ttir, the designer of the exhibition The Lax\u00e1 Dispute: Dawn of Nature Conservation in Iceland, will talk about the exhibition and its creation. Margr\u00e9t Hildur Egilsd\u00f3ttir was a university student on a summer placement with the Knowledge Network of \u00deingeyjar in the summer of 2021. There, she worked on the interview project "Stories from the Countryside", in which she interviewed several older residents of the M\u00fdvatn area, and the results were published on a podcast. \u00d3li Halld\u00f3rsson will present a research project that the staff of the Knowledge Network worked on in collaboration with the staff of N\u00fdheimar in H\u00f6fn, Hornafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The project is called Revolutions and Population Development: The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Iceland. Finally, Gr\u00e9ta Bergr\u00fan J\u00f3hannesd\u00f3ttir, a former employee of the Knowledge Network and a PhD student at the University of Akureyri, will present some of the findings from her research on gossip in the talk "A Tale to the Next Town". <\/p>\n
