{"id":13775,"date":"2023-08-28T13:31:28","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T13:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hac.is\/?p=13775"},"modified":"2026-02-10T14:24:42","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T14:24:42","slug":"opinn-dagur-i-gig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hac.is\/en\/2023\/08\/28\/opinn-dagur-i-gig\/","title":{"rendered":"Open day at G\u00edg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Thursday, 24th August, there was an open house at G\u00edg in the M\u00fdvatn area, and many good guests, young and old, came to see the development taking place at this unique place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The building is already a vibrant workplace and houses the Environmental Agency and Vatnaj\u00f6kull National Park, as well as Ram\u00fd, Thingeyjarsveit, The Knowledge Network of the Thingeyjardalir, The Land Restoration Authority, and Huldu \u2013 a Centre for Natural Sciences, which is a collaborative platform between the University of Iceland and Svart\u00e1rkot Culture \u2013 Nature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rangers provided a fun programme for children, including a successful treasure hunt in glorious weather and dragonfly spotting through binoculars.
