The autumn meeting of S\u00edmenntun \u2013 the association of adult education centres in Iceland \u2013 took place in the Westman Islands on 19 and 20 September. H\u00fasav\u00edk Academic Centre sent three representatives to the event: Ingibj\u00f6rg, Hei\u00f0r\u00fan and Hilmar.<\/p>\n
The topics of the meeting were varied and interesting. The advertising agency Sahara gave a very interesting presentation on digital media: development and optimisation in the modern advertising world. Many very interesting points were made, which we at \u00deekkingarneti\u00f0 intend to adopt.<\/p>\n
Hildur Bett\u00fd and Fj\u00f3la Mar\u00eda, from the Centre for the Development of the Working Life (FA), Hildur Bett\u00fd and Fj\u00f3la Mar\u00eda, from the Centre for the Further Education of the Working Life (FA), went over the main findings of the project 'Voices of people with an international background \u2013 inclusion in education, work and society', which is managed by FA and the Nordic Network for Adult Learning (NVL) in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Labour Market and the Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs.<\/p>\n
On the second day, two workshops were held. The first was about a development project related to the European Language Portfolio, which S\u00cdMEY has worked on in collaboration with Studieskolen, M\u00edmi and Austurbr\u00fa. The other workshop was on marketing, where representatives from MSS shared their experience and described their procedures for marketing.<\/p>\n
It was a pleasure to visit the Westman Islands and take part in this good and useful meeting.<\/p>\n
