For over a year, the base of the \u00deingeyja Knowledge Network in M\u00fdvatn has been at G\u00edg in M\u00fdvatn. There, alongside the development of a joint visitor centre for Vatnaj\u00f6kuls\u00fej\u00f3\u00f0gar\u00f0ur National Park and the Environmental Agency, and the research facilities of Ram\u00fd, a knowledge centre has been established. The institutions and parties that have participated in the development, alongside Vatnaj\u00f6kuls\u00fej\u00f3\u00f0gar\u00f0ur National Park which is leading the project, are: the Environmental Agency, The M\u00fdvatn Nature Research Station (Ram\u00fd), the National Museum of Natural History of Iceland, \u00deingeyjarsveit, the Knowledge Network of the People of \u00deingeyri, the HULDA Centre for Natural Sciences, the University of Iceland Research Centre, Svart\u00e1rkot Culture \u2013 Nature, Land and Forest, and the M\u00fdvatn Office. The annual G\u00edgs meeting was held on 7 March, where representatives from the institutions involved in the use of the house came together to discuss the situation and upcoming projects.<\/p>\n
