Today at the \u00deingeyja Knowledge Network, we had a good time with our students from the 'Skills for the Labour Market' programme, their families, workplace contacts, teachers, and a contact from the Employment Service. The occasion was that three students were completing their studies on the 'Skills for the Labour Market' programme.<\/p>\n
The 'Skills in the Labour Market' curriculum is the result of a project by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Labour Market, which aims to increase educational and career opportunities for disabled people. The project is a collaboration between Fj\u00f6lmennt, Vinnum\u00e1lastofnun and the Fr\u00e6\u00f0slumi\u00f0st\u00f6\u00f0 atvinnul\u00edfsins, and focuses on education and training to enhance students' skills for participation in the labour market.<\/p>\n
Teaching began on 16 September and was divided into 70 hours of theoretical study and 110 hours of work-based learning in workplaces. Five students started the course, but due to unavoidable reasons, two of them had to drop out. D\u00f6gg Stef\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir was the lead tutor for the course.<\/p>\n
The three who graduated today pursued their studies exceptionally well, their attendance and engagement were exemplary, and by fulfilling all the competency criteria in the programme, they graduated today with a Professional Certificate.<\/p>\n
