Today, the annual Nordic Fab Lab Bootcamp, held at Fab Lab H\u00fasav\u00edk, concluded, with the participation of around 30 representatives from Fab Lab workshops from all over the Nordic countries.<\/p>\n
The five-day bootcamp went exceptionally well, and there was a great sense of unity and energy within the group. Participants strove to enhance their skills and familiarise themselves with the latest technology in digital workshops, including in the fields of artificial intelligence, electronics, CAD and CAM design, as well as the teaching, operation and collaboration of Fab Lab workshops.<\/p>\n
The guests were extremely pleased with their stay in H\u00fasav\u00edk and made good use of the town's amenities, including its restaurants, accommodation, shops and leisure activities. A visit to Geosea, evening social events and quality time outside the official programme further strengthened the group's bonds. According to one of the participants, Joakim Wahlberg, he has never been to a Fab Lab conference before where work continues late into the night and even until the very last minute of the conference. He suggested that this was due to the fact that it was a particularly well-equipped Fab Lab and a fun Bootcamp.<\/p>\n
\u201e"We are extremely happy with this fantastic conference that is now finishing here in H\u00fasav\u00edk," says Stef\u00e1n P\u00e9tur, project manager of Hra\u00f0inn. "Over these past few days, we've learnt a lot from each other, not least by tackling together the challenges that come with tech gadgets breaking down, which of course they always do."\u201c<\/p>\n
Some participants are now heading home, but others will be staying here and plan to travel around the area over the next few days, seeing H\u00fasav\u00edk and its surroundings in their winter setting.<\/p>\n
