Well-attended seminar in Kópasker!

IMG_6158Around 90 people attended the anniversary symposium of the Þingeyinga Knowledge Network at the schoolhouse in Kópasker today. The symposium focused on educational work, with a special emphasis on the remarkable work of the Kópasker primary school under the direction of Pétur Þorsteinsson.  Education and Culture Minister Illugi Gunnarsson came especially north to take part in the seminar with the locals, gave an opening address and then unexpectedly concluded the programme by sitting at the house's grand piano and playing an original composition for the guests.
The Knowledge Network extends its sincere thanks to the minister, the locals and other good participants for a pleasant day at Kópaskeri.
