The Knowledge Network offers distance learners in higher and further education a wide range of services and facilities for their studies. The institution operates staffed study centres in Húsavík, Þórshöfn and Mývatnssveit, where students can have 24-hour access to work facilities fully equipped with office equipment and furniture. At Kópasker, Raufarhöfn and Laugar in Reykjadal, facilities are available by arrangement on a case-by-case basis.
At all of these locations, students are offered facilities for remote examinations, with the approval of the relevant schools in each case.
The Knowledge Network encourages all residents of Þingeyjarhérað to make use of the service and to receive facilities, advice or educational services of any kind.
All services and facilities of the Knowledge Network for distance learners in the North-East counties are free of charge for students (i.e. included in the registration fee at the relevant school).
