Helena Eydis Ingolfsdottir

Helena Eydís is a project manager in the ÞÞ team in the research area. Helena is also involved in other projects such as in the lifelong learning area. Education: B.Ed. teacher from the University of Iceland MPA in public administration from the University of Iceland.

Lilja B. Rögnvaldsdóttir

Lilja is the Deputy Director and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the institute. She also works in the research department where she carries out various research and development projects. Education: MS in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, MS in Tourism Studies from the University of Iceland, cand.oecon in Business Administration from the University of Iceland.

(Egill) Aðalgeir Bjarnason

Aðalgeir “Alli” is a housekeeper at the Knowledge Center in Húsavík and is responsible for cleaning and other incidentals. He also handles maintenance, exam supervision, and general office work.

Christina Merkel

Christina is the project manager of Kistunn in Þórshöfn and is responsible for the daily operations and development of the business. She works on a variety of projects related to innovation, tourism and education, as well as participating in various community and development projects for Langanesbyggð.
Christina has a BA in Business Administration and Information Technology from the Duale Hochschule.

Asta Birna Gunnarsdottir

Ásta Birna is in charge of cleaning at STÉTTINNI in Húsavík.

Ingibjörg Benediktsdottir

Ingibjörg is a project manager/consultant based in Húsavík. She carries out various projects in the field of lifelong learning, especially in the preparation of study programs and courses as well as consulting for individuals and companies. Education: BA in Modern Studies from the University of Akureyri.

Stefan Peter Solveigarson

Stefán Pétur is the project manager of the Hraðsinn Innovation Center and Fab Lab Húsavík, which falls under the innovation division of the Þingeyinga Knowledge Network. Stefán is responsible for the daily operations of Hraðsinn and Fab Lab Húsavík, welcomes individuals, companies and entrepreneurs, and provides consulting in design and innovation. Education: BA in Product Design from the Iceland Academy of the Arts.

Axel Flex Arnason

Axel is a project manager and instructor at FabLab Húsavík. He also handles various projects related to event management and technical matters at Hraðinn.
Education: BA in Philosophy from the University of Iceland.

Arnthrudur Dagsdottir

Arnþrúður (Ditta) is a project manager based in the Mývatn region. She carries out various tasks in the fields of lifelong learning and research, as well as being the local manager of the Knowledge Network in the Mývatn region. Education: MA and BA in fine arts, pedagogy as well as studies in languages, sociology and public administration.

Heidrun Oladottir

Heiðrún works as a project manager in the lifelong learning department. Her office is in Kistunn in Þórshöfn and part of her work involves serving the Northeast part of the work area. Education: B.Ed. teacher from KHÍ.

Asrun Vala Kristjansdottir

Ásrún Vala is a part-time cleaning and odd jobs employee based in Húsavík.

Gudrun Helga Ágústsdóttir

Guðrún Helga is a study and career counselor at the Knowledge Network and also handles project management and teaching in the field of lifelong learning. Education: MA degree in study and career counseling from the University of Iceland. BA degree in social work from the University of Iceland, Additional Diploma in Teaching and Additional Diploma in Sociology. 

Gudrun Osk Brynjarsdottir

Guðrún Ósk is the office manager of the Knowledge Network. She is responsible for administration, registration, accounting and various other office tasks. Education: School secretary and office manager studies from the Icelandic School of Business.

Hildur Halldorsdottir

Hildur is the Director of the Knowledge Network and is responsible for the daily operations of the organization. She manages four support areas: lifelong learning, research, university services and innovation. Education: B.Ed in Educational Sciences and BA in Psychology from the University of Iceland.

Hilmar Valur Gunnarsson

Hilmar Valur works as a project manager in the lifelong learning department. Her main tasks are the preparation and supervision of study programs, Icelandic language teaching and various types of vocational training. Education: BA in social work from H.Í.

Board

The board of the Þingeyinga Knowledge Network consists of five representatives, appointed for two-year terms.
