Hildur is the Director of the Knowledge Network and is responsible for the organisation's day-to-day operations. She oversees four support areas: continuing education, research, university services and innovation. Education: B.Ed in Educational Studies and BA in Psychology from the University of Iceland.
Guðrún Ósk is the Office Manager for the Knowledge Network. She is responsible for processing, registration, accounting and various other office duties. Education: School Secretary and Office Manager training from the Icelandic Business School.
Heiðrún works as a project manager in the Lifelong Learning department. She is based at Kistan in Þórshöfn, and part of her role involves serving the North East of the region. Education: B.Ed. teacher from K.H.I.
Lilja is the Deputy Director and is responsible for the daily running of the organisation. She also works in the research department, where she is involved in various research and development projects. Education: M.S. in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, M.S. in Tourism Studies from the University of Iceland, B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Iceland.
Guðrún Helga is a careers and study adviser at Þekkingarnetið and also manages projects and teaches on the continuing education department. Education: MA in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Iceland. BA in Social Work from the University of Iceland, a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology.
Christina is the Project Manager for Kistan in Tórshavn and is responsible for the daily operations and development of the business. She works on a variety of projects related to innovation, tourism and education, as well as participating in various community and development projects for Langanesbyggð.
Christina has a BA in Business Administration and Information Technology from Duale Hochschule.
Ingibjörg is a project manager/consultant based in Húsavík. She works on various projects in the field of lifelong learning, particularly preparing courses and programmes, as well as providing advice to individuals and businesses. Education: B.A. in Contemporary Studies from the University of Akureyri.
Hilmar Valur works as a project manager in the Lifelong Learning department. His main responsibilities include the preparation and management of study programmes, Icelandic language teaching, and various professional qualifications. Education: BA in Social Work from the University of Iceland.
Arnþrúður (Ditta) is a project manager based in the Mývatn area. She manages various projects in the fields of lifelong learning and research, as well as being the local coordinator for the Knowledge Network in the Mývatn area. Education: M.A. and B.A. in Fine Art, Education, as well as studies in languages, sociology and public administration.
Ásrún Vala is a part-time cleaner and general hand, based in Húsavík.
Stefán Pétur is the project manager for Hraðinn, the Innovation Centre, and Fab Lab Húsavík, which falls under the innovation department of the Þingeyjar Knowledge Network. Stefán manages the day-to-day operations of The Accelerator and Fab Lab Húsavík, welcomes individuals, businesses and entrepreneurs, and provides advice on design and innovation. Education: B.A. in Product Design from the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
Axel is a project manager and mentor at FabLab Húsavík. He also handles various tasks related to event management and technical matters at Hraðinn.
Education: BA in Philosophy from the University of Iceland.
