Gaum's fourth annual meeting will take place on the 2nd of December. The theme of the meeting is greenhouse gas emissions and how they can be tackled through changes in land use, the energy transition of the transport fleet, and sustainable transport.

Jóna Bjarnadóttir, Managing Director at Landsvirkjun, will open the meeting. The chair will be Dagbjört Jónsdóttir, Mayor of Þingeyjarsveit.

The keynote speakers at the Gaum annual meeting are Sveinn Margeirsson, Sigurlína Tryggvadóttir and Sigurður Ingi Friðleifsson. Sveinn will discuss opportunities in greenhouse gas sequestration through land-use change, Sigurlína will talk about afforestation projects within Nýsköpun í norðri, and Sigurður Ingi will discuss the development of the vehicle fleet in the Gaum monitoring area and sustainable transport.

Following the presentations, there will be a question and discussion session.

The meeting begins at 12:00 with a light lunch: meat soup and soup of the day with homemade bread, coffee, tea, cocoa and biscuits.
