The Knowledge Network is a partner in a new two-year European project called: "EUropean NETworking as a method for further training and exchange of ideas in the lifelong learning sector" "European NET as a method for further training and exchange of ideas in the lifelong learning sector" [EU-NET]. It is Hilmar and Ingibjörg who are the project managers on behalf of the Knowledge Network.
The overall objective of the EU-NET project is to support a European network of non-profit organisations and associations operating in the continuing education sector.
The partners realised that one of the main challenges in the project is the lack of suitable/affordable legal and formal solutions that support networks accessible to non-profit organisations. Secondly – the need for more practical examples, more case studies, and materials for further self-learning in the field of European cooperation and networking for non-governmental organisations in adult education.
The partners aim to design, develop and distribute tools for European collaborative projects for institutions and organisations operating in the continuing education sector. The final product is to be an interactive manual for self-directed learning and skills development in this field.
