Education and training – staff training

The Knowledge Network was awarded an Erasmus+ grant in the Learning and Training (KA1) category in 2021. The membership is intended as a simplified route to funding for Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) projects. It is envisaged that participation in these projects will be part of the organisation's regular activities, contributing to its professional development objectives. The Knowledge Network has enabled staff to attend courses and job shadowing, using grants from the programme. More about Erasmus+ funding opportunities https://www.erasmusplus.is/taekifaeri/

For example, Hilmar Valur attended the 'ICT in Education' course in Prague, a course on the use of information and communication technology in teaching, which is tailored for teachers and staff of educational institutions. The course was run by the International Training Center. During the course, various technological innovations in learning were introduced to the participants, and practical projects were created and tested with the group. However, there were several aspects of the course that will be useful to the Knowledge Network in the planning and delivery of FA courses and study programmes, especially in the more remote areas of its operational area.
