EQM+ certification

The Network of Knowledge of Þingeying introduced a quality certification system for its lifelong learning activities many years ago, called EQM. EQM stands for European Quality Mark or the European Quality Mark, is a transparent assessment process for education providers to evaluate their practices against recognised quality standards. EQM is based on a self-assessment which is reviewed by an EQM-accredited external assessor, who also provides recommendations on quality issues and improvements during the assessment process. The Centre for the Development of the Working Life manages the EQM quality system. The Knowledge Network received renewed quality certification based on an updated quality system, i.e., EQM+ in 2020, which was valid for three years. And now, just before the last New Year, the Knowledge Network underwent an assessment to obtain its renewal. Today, we received formal confirmation that we have passed the audit and been granted renewal of our quality certification. The Knowledge Network therefore continues to meet the EQM+ standards for quality in educational work, validation of prior learning, and careers and study guidance.

It's good news on a Friday.
