The position of Kistan project manager in Tórshavn was advertised at the beginning of May. Nine applications were received from people with diverse backgrounds. The applications have been reviewed and interviews have been held with selected candidates.
Taking into account the qualification requirements and other criteria set out in the advertisement, a decision has been made to Sigríður Friðný Halldórsdóttir will be appointed to the post. Sigríður is a qualified nurse and has held positions including Director of Nursing and Project Manager, as well as holding responsible roles in public administration at local government and committee level. Following the recruitment process, it is evident that Sigríður Friðný has a university education, professional/continuing training, and diverse experience that is well-suited to the responsibilities of the role, as well as an ambitious vision for the local community.
The Network of Knowledge of the Thingeyingas welcomes Sigríður Friðnýja to work in Thórshöfn. At the same time, the other applicants are kindly thanked for their applications.
