Óli Halldórsson rows to new mid

A milestone has now been reached at The Knowledge Network of Þingeyjar: at his own request, Director Óli Halldórsson has been relieved of his duties, effective from 1 November. Oli will then take up a new position as a specialist at the Office of Science and Higher Education within the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and University Affairs, which he will be able to have transferred north and carry out as a remote role. Lilja Berglind Rögnvaldsdóttir is the Deputy Director and will temporarily take on the role of the institution's Director from 1 November.

The North-East Network was established in 2003, or 22 years ago. Óli Halldórsson has been the director since its foundation, and it is a testament to his talent and dedication that throughout this time, the organisation has grown and prospered. And today, the Knowledge Network has become a cornerstone in the advancement of business, culture, and innovation. The board of the Knowledge Network would like to express its sincere gratitude to Óli Halldórsson for his good and dedicated work throughout this time, and we wish him every success in his new endeavours.
