At the last Design Conference, we were joined by award-winning author Jody Eddy, who gave a highly informative and entertaining talk about Sacred design in cooking and cookbook design. We are very proud to announce that she has regularly written about her visit to the Nordic region, the entrepreneurs, chefs and designers she met at the Design Conference. She recently published an article about the Design Conference and the Accelerator's activities in her online publication, "What's Good Here by Jody Eddy".“
In the article entitled Húsavík: A Food Design Conference in Northern Iceland, Jody describes her experience of the festival and how Hraðið tackles large-scale projects within a small community. She says that Design Talk has established itself as an annual event for the Icelandic innovation and design scene, and that this year's focus on food, design and innovation created a fantastic platform for networking, and sparked exciting, interdisciplinary discussions.
Jody Eddy also amusingly describes her culinary journey through Iceland and how the resilience and ideology of Icelanders have influenced her life and career over the years. She cites Húsavík as a good example of how small communities can create an important platform for creativity, entrepreneurship and networking.
