The Network of Knowledge of the Thingeyrar Region is advertising for a dynamic Project Manager in the field of continuing education at the organisation's office in Húsavík. We are looking for an individual with good communication skills, who is creative in their thinking and possesses initiative and autonomy in their work. This is a varied and enjoyable role within a dynamic team and in the vibrant environment of the Guild.
Key tasks include, among other things:
- Management and development of continuing education and training projects
- Delivery of courses and events
- Development of educational plans and needs analyses
- Overseeing development and research projects, including in the fields of multiculturalism and community development.
- Collaboration with industry, local authorities and educational institutions
- Project management, administration and reporting
- Applications for collaboration and project funding through domestic and international funds
- Teamwork in a variety of projects
Skills and education:
- Higher education that is useful in the job
- Organised and independent working methods
- Experience in project management
- Experience of multicultural projects of any kind is an advantage.
- Drive and initiative in work
- Service-mindedness and patience
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of teaching and adult education is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good command of Icelandic and English
