A vibrant community

The class

STÉTTIN is a vibrant community of businesses, organisations and individuals in Húsavík, working on innovation, research, development and diverse knowledge-based activities. Here, ideas, theory and practice meet in a creative environment where the aim is to enhance the area's economic and social life.

Management

The board of the North East Iceland Knowledge Network consists of five representatives, appointed for a two-year term.

The following parties nominate to the board:

  • The municipalities in the Þingeyjarsýslur
  • The innovation scene in Iceland
  • The secondary schools in the Þingeyjarsýslur
  • The University of Iceland and the University of Akureyri
  • Association of Employers in the North-East Counties

 

The following individuals sit on the board (as of the 2025 Annual General Meeting):

  • Sigurður Þór Guðmundsson – (sub. Jón Höskuldsson)
  • Atli Björgvinsson (sub. Freyr Friðfinsson)
