The Knowledge Network is looking for a dynamic Project Manager for its office in Húsavík. We are seeking an individual with management experience, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently. This is a varied and challenging role, involving work across all of the organisation's support services.

Key responsibilities and duties:
- Overseeing daily operations and the development of activities
- Planning, accounting and annual accounts in collaboration with an auditor
- Collaboration with ministries, business, local authorities and educational institutions
- Project funding and writing grant applications
- Negotiation
- Management of tenancy agreements and tenant services
- Payroll administration
- Report writing, statistics from work and information dissemination
- Presentations, group receptions and event organisation
- Teamwork on a variety of projects in the organisation's support departments.
- Other ad-hoc tasks
Educational and competency requirements
- Higher education that is useful in the job
- Organised and independent working methods
- Experience in operations, management and human resources is an advantage.
- Drive and initiative in work
- Solution-oriented thinking and a positive disposition
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A solid knowledge of the fields of the Knowledge Network is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good computer skills and tech-savvy
- Good command of Icelandic and English
The employee's place of work and daily presence is at the STÉTTIN workclass in Húsavík, where Þekkingarnetið has its head office. Year-round residency and participation in the community are an important part of the role. This is a full-time position, and it is desirable for the successful candidate to be able to start on 1 December.
